Wellies on CIC

We are a 40 acre care farm based in Abberton just outside of Colchester in the heart of the Essex countryside. A care farm brings together the care of the land, environment and animals with care of the people. A care farm opens its doors to anyone who can benefit from being out in the countryside and enjoy taking part in the daily life of a working farm. At Wellies On, we are a community farm focusing on social inclusion and our philosophy is...

Community Allotment Scheme.

Social and therapeutic horticulture is the formal name given to the process of using gardening and plants to help individuals develop.
​Here at Wellies-On Community Interest Company we are starting a Community Allotment Scheme. This will involve an existing piece of land being remodelled by volunteers and students, refurbishing an existing Polly Tunnel and building new raised beds and composting bins.
